Serve In-between Courses

All courses end on a Sunday morning, and the next course usually begins the following Wednesday. During the couple of days between courses, the kitchen gets a thorough cleaning, laundry gets done, supplies are restocked, and other odd jobs are undertaken. We are always in need of servers between courses.

If you are serving a course, we welcome you to come a day or two early or leave a day or two late to help with the chores.

Even if you are sitting a course, old students are welcome to come a day or two early and all students are welcome to stay a day or two after the course to help with the chores.

If you are availing of public transportation, the centre management staff may be able to pick you up from the bus station if you arrive a day or two early or drop you off at the bus station if you leave a day or two later.

When you are applying to serve a course, please indicate whether you can arrive early or stay late so the centre management staff will be ready.

We also publish in-between work periods in the course schedule to encourage old students who may be able to serve one or two days only.
